Fairy tales set to enchant the Centre

Once upon a time in the land of hills and song, there was a theatre and arts centre which was beloved by all who visited it …

Yes you guessed it, it’s National Storytelling Week once again!

To celebrate this national initiative, which encourages people to explore their love of literature, we will be delving into the fantastical world of fairy tales.

The Hartlepool Monkey

With themes of morality, xenophobia, and fear of the unknown, The Hartlepool Monkey is certain to get audiences talking. With an audience rating of 10+, Gyre & Gimble’s lovable monkey will win the hearts of the whole family.

As its seven-week national tours reaches the Centre, Co-Directors Toby Olié and Finn Caldwell talk about audience reactions to the production so far, and how it has developed since 2014.
