Spotlight on March

It’s time to say farewell to the chills of winter at last!  We enter the season of walks-in-the-park as March begins and commence the celebrations of Spring. The month kicks off with the legendary St David’s day, every Welsh person’s favourite day of the year.  We also celebrate some of the best aspects of life, from International Women’s Day to International Puppy day… what’s not to love? Here’s a sneak peek of what you can also enjoy at Wales Millennium Centre over the next few weeks.

Ignite Deluxe


With just five minutes to be heard, Cardiff’s biggest speaking event of 2017 comes to the Donald Gordon Theatre. Born out of the regular bi-monthly event held in the city, Ignite Deluxe brings enlightenment to a larger audience with its night at the Centre, March 8. With a diverse range of speakers, prepare for wisdom, education and maybe a laugh (or a cry). Ignite Deluxe will leave you wanting to listen more, and move you to speak for yourself.

Justin’s Party


Put your dancing shoes on and get ready to laugh your socks off, it’s party time! This fun-tastic festivity is jam-packed full of excitement, with belt-your-heart-out songs, dance-til’-you-drop moves and breathtakingly hilarious games. If that’s not enough to convince you, there’s even a puppet! The party begins on March 10.

The Red Shoes


Do you have a dream? Do you know what it takes to achieve it? Follow Victoria Page in her inspiring adventure to become the greatest dancer in the world, seeing her through all the tremendous highs and heartbreaking lows. This mesmerizing drama, adapted by Matthew Bourne, will take you on an emotional ride. The Red Shoes captivates all the senses with music by Bernard Hermann, designs by Lez Brotherston, lighting by Paul Constable and sound by Paul Groothius. The show graces the Donald Gordon stage March 14-18.

Marti Pellow: Mysterious


A sell-out 16 date tour just wasn’t enough for Marti Pellow – He’s back on stage! The lead singer of Wet Wet Wet is joining us on March 19 for a night of performances of his own original, captivating music from his new album ‘Mysterious’.

The Circus is coming to town! Prepare yourself for an exhilarating display of weird, wonderful and jaw-dropping performances between the March 28-April 1. There’s something for all the family, from spine-tingling acrobats to death-defying stunt men who will leave you breathless. Get ready to spend an evening on the edge of your seat and let Cirque Berserk get your heart pumping in this adrenaline-fueled array of spectacles.

Y Glec / King Hit


Join us March 30-April 1 to be fascinated by Arad Goch’s cutting-edge adaptation of Zeal Theatre’s production of King Hit as they team up to explore the obstacles young people of today are faced with. Witness a party-gone-wrong, filled with alcohol fueled confrontation, hilarious splurges of emotion and shocking developments.
